I’m Jacob Bytom.

I run Made4Sport Group and UltraLabs, and I founded Inverted. I build most of my software and AI workflows from my phone.

How I got here

I started selling on eBay in 2008. It went well enough that I bought my dream car at the time, a Renault Clio 200 Cup, and decided I’d made it. I hadn’t.

    Bytomic

    I didn’t really know how to run a business yet, so I bought into the family business, Bytomic, and did practically every job going.

  2. 2010 · Acquired

    Fumetsu

    In 2010 I made my first brand acquisition, Fumetsu, when it made just two products. I had no idea what I was doing, so I started with the branding. Looking back, it was dreadful. It sold anyway.

    Made4Fighters

    I bought Made4Fighters as well. It’s our specialist combat sports retailer.

  4. Founded

    Made4Sport Group

    I later founded Made4Sport Group to bring the businesses together, and I run it today: combat sports brands, distribution and retail.

  5. 2023 · Started

    UltraLabs

    In 2023 I got fed up with agencies and started UltraLabs, the ecommerce agency, mostly because we needed one ourselves.

  6. Founded · Software

    Inverted

    I’ve used AI since before ChatGPT. Building my own software for the work inside my businesses led to Inverted and to a book, BUILD DON’T RENT, which is on its way.

I make videos about the work as I go. The business channel is on YouTube.
